08/06/2007 - k1ck.q4.ctf

I have been trying to get my good buddy eden to ok a Q4 CTF squad for k1ck since the very beginning of my sponsorship deal and my friendship with him. Last night I feel off my chair when eden pasted this to me on IRC

"(k1ck-eden`)(k1ck-ani)<KM-> i'm having a thought here

(k1ck-eden`)(k1ck-ani) <KM-> eden/you/doj already play it, +me/zlc = 5"

A couple of hours later and here we are! k1ck.q4.ctf is BORN! One of the best (if not the best) Q4CTF Squads since the beginning of Q4 has merged with k1ck.q4.

k1ck.q4.ctf lineup is made up of k1ck and ack stars (oh and some fellow from dobo, <3 u munchies :))):

Ani / Doj / Eden / KM / Munchies
Opti / Rine / ZLC / Vindex

And there we have it folkes! How excited am I !!?!?! Words can't describe how I am feeling right now (I know what most of you are thinking, "Vin's just in there as a tocken jester" well I don't care, this might get me playing Q4 again, at a push, so ner :p). Oh and unlike some recent clan mergers this isn't killing off a clan!.

Lets just hope we can get some PCWs and run this team out alot. I know in the past ACK had problems with PCWs due to there skill level, but being under new management I'm sure the CTF Community will come running to try us out and knock us down! Join #k1ck.q4 and ask anyone of the above if you want a PCW.

Well lots happening and nothings happening!

I left ISP half way through the clanbase ctf opencup due to personal reasons. Hejin has now also left ISP to start his new clan Jedi Mind Tricks, he takes with him Yardy, Morrigu and Goku. In the last month they have recruited my good buddy k1ck.eden in to their ctf squad and made him TDM coach (a very wise decision imo). Also Tua and Jakz from clan UD (now part of te4m, yeah I know) have joined JMT to play TDM. I wish my old buddies all the luck in the world. Their new website can be found here and their IRC channel is #jmt.q4.

k1ck.q4 are through to the semi-finals of clanbase tdm eurocup! With their semi final match vs FOE penciled in for tomorrow.

Jolt are to start the 2nd(??) season of the Q4CTFL in early July (link on the right, sorry I am getting lazy). Goodluck all the clans participating.

I am no longer playing Quake of any sort at the moment. The Q4 community is too small and a few nob jockies are spoiling my fun so I simply can't be arsed with it any more. The public servers are split on point releases ranging from 1.0.0 -> 1.4.1beta. Meaning with me only having 1.4.1beta installed (which is arguably the best release so far) I can't find a public CTF server to play on, and the pickups, well, previous experience tells me they aren't fun. So now I play BattleField 2142 pretty much all the time when I am on my PC. Hopefully when 1.4Final is released (sometime this year please) I will be back playing. Oh and then there's ET:QW! but hey that's been put back another month, so not sure I will be playing that. I might be married with kids by the time that's released hehe.
